The 44th Indiana Civil War Historical Association is a non-for profit organization based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana and the surrounding Northeast Indiana area. We are a family oriented organization dedicated to the preservation of the memory of the men and women who lived during the time in American History known as the Civil War (1861-1865). We strive to recreate the time in which they lived in order to better educate not only the public but also ourselves as to what it was like to live during the Civil War. Our membership is made of individuals who portray not only military but also civilians as well. The entire family is welcome to participate in all activities that we engage in as an organization. We are a Progressive group of re-enactors, which means we strive to constantly improve our authenticity; we attend both local and national events in pursuit of our hobby. If you are interested in re-enacting please look over our website and contact us. We look forward to hearing from you
